In 1800  Lancaster, South Carolina census we find four Faulkinbury or Faulkinberry Families listed are  John Faulkinbury,  Jacob Faulkinbury, Isaac Faulkinbury and Henry Faulkinbury,  in 1810 there is listed William Fortenberry, Ireael Fortenberry, Isaac Fortenberry Sr., Isaac Fortenberry Jr., John Fortenberry and Jacob Fortenberry.

I have also found in the data base for American Civil War Soldiers  a Francis M Falkenbury  enlisted December 30, 1862,  for the Union Army State of Illinois. He would have been 15 years old when he enlisted.  Not sure if this is the same Francis Marion Faulkinbury born May 2, 1847.
