After a 1 to 2-mile warm up, we predict our
time for the 3-mile time trial, and have a staggered start: those who
plan on running an 8:30 pace start first, followed by those planning on
running 8:00 minutes per mile, 7:30 per mile, 7:00, or faster, if any
hot dogs show up. The plan is for us all to finish at about the
same time. Then there's a 1 or 2 mile cool-down. We meet
rain or shine, so dress accordingly.
