Elite.net's Guide to Netscape -- Message Menu

Click on a button to see what it does, . . .

The Reply and forward commands These buttons do almost the same thing, they bring up a new message window with the TO: and SUBJECT: fields already filled in. The selected message is copied to the message window with a ">" in front of each line. Reply is the most used button for most users. Replying is used to send a message back to the sender of the original message. Reply To ALL is used when the original message was sent to several people and the reply needs to be sent to those people as well. To Forward a message is to send just the message to another person without adding text to the body. You will prompted for the recipient's email address. Most jokes are passed through the Internet this way.

Marking messages will change the way the messages is displayed, unread or read. This can be used to remember to read a message later.

Add to Addressbook will enable the sender's address to shown in the list when TO: is clicked in the New Message window.

The Move and Copy commands allow messages to be placed in different mail folders. The difference between copy and move is that copies leave the original message in the original folder.
