Get mail will log into to our server and check for new email. If there is no new email for long periods of time, check your options for the correct settings.
Delete moves the selected message to the trash folder. It will remain there until the "Empty Trash Folder," command is issued from File menu.
These buttons do almost the same thing, they bring up a new message window with the TO: and SUBJECT: fields already filled in. The selected message is copied to the message window with a ">" in front of each line. Reply is the most used button for most users. Replying is used to send a message back to the sender of the original message. Reply To ALL is used when the original message was sent to several people and the reply needs to be sent to those people as well. To Forward a message is to send just the message to another person without adding text to the body. You will prompted for the recipient's email address. Most jokes are passed through the Internet this way.
The Previous and Next buttons cause the closest unread body to be displayed for reading.
This button will print the message displayed in the body window.
The use of the Stop button should require no explanation. For explanation of this what this button does, consult the Handbook or have a credit card ready and dial 1-800-639-0939 for Netscape technical support.
The Inbox is where incoming mail is stored. The message headers are shown in the message window. Clicking on the message header will display the message in the grey body section.
The Sent folder is where a copy of outgoing mail is stored. The message headers are shown in the message window. Clicking on the message header will display the message in the grey body section.
The trash folder is where any deleted message is stored until "Empty Trash Folder" is selected in the file menu. The message headers are shown in the message window. Clicking on the message header will display the message in the grey body section. Any message shown in the trash folder can be "saved" from expulsion by copying it to a different folder.
This window displays the messages according to sender and subject. To display a message in the grey body section, just click the appropriate header with the left mouse button.
This grey area is where the text of the selected message is displayed. Messages in this window can be Deleted, Replied to, Printed, or Forwarded.
