SDSL can also mean the "type" of signalling being used.  SDSL is not compatible with ADSL or IDSL because it has a different kind of signalling.  Therefore an SDSL router or modem must be used with an SDSL line. Elite.Net includes 1 public IP address with SDSL service. What kind of router is supplied? At this time it is an Efficient SpeedStream 5851 Can I provide my own router? At this time we cannot use customer supplied routers with our SDSL service. Specifications: Availability SDSL Service is available to many cities from Stockton to Bakersfield in the Central Valley. The service location must be within 16,000 feet of the central office to qualify for service and distance influences the maximum possible speed.
